Tracerco and AMS Global Group demonstrate cutting-edge monitoring technologies and strategic partnership in support of safer offshore operations

Global industrial technology company, Tracerco, welcomed Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) to the company’s North East England headquarters for a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s latest innovations in offshore asset integrity, radiation protection, and safety monitoring. Tracerco is a company at the forefront of innovation, with over 450 employees in 17 countries.

Hosted by Tracerco, in partnership with distribution partner and OEUK member, AMS Global Group, the visit offered a first-hand demonstration of how the companies are supporting operators to work more safely and efficiently across the UK Continental Shelf and beyond. It also comes ahead of Tracerco and AMS’ joint appearance at the OEUK Offshore Decommissioning Conference 2025, in Scotland this month.

During the visit, delegates explored Tracerco’s Discovery™ subsea inspection tool, used globally to assure asset integrity by scanning complex deepwater pipe configurations, and learned how Tracerco’s DoseVision™ live monitoring technology takes the administration out of radiation safety surveillance, delivering full workforce visibility. The visit also included a tour of the company’s radiation laboratory, where samples from offshore installations are processed, and its R&D facilities, which are driving forward product development in safety monitoring and asset assurance.

Prakash Gururajan, Managing Director – Tracerco Monitors, said: “Hosting OEUK members at our facilities is an important opportunity to showcase the depth of our technology portfolio and the expertise behind our operations. Working in partnership with AMS Global Group allows us to ensure our customers have access to the right solutions, the right support, and the right people – wherever they operate. We look forward to continuing these conversations at the Offshore Decommissioning Conference, where together with AMS we will be highlighting how our innovations in asset integrity and safety monitoring can support the industry’s late-life and decommissioning challenges.”

The strategic partnership between Tracerco and AMS Global Group has enhanced customer service delivery and established a stronger local presence within Scotland. This collaboration enables both companies to better engage with existing and new customers, supporting the continued growth of Tracerco’s products and services across the energy, decommissioning, and wider industrial sectors.

A key driver of the partnership has been the need for local service support; ensuring faster turnaround times on operationally critical equipment and reducing logistics costs for customers. AMS Global Group’s investment in local infrastructure and expertise has been instrumental in delivering these improvements.

As decommissioning activity increases across the UK and internationally, both companies are ideally positioned to support clients through the next phase of project lifecycles. Together, Tracerco and AMS offer technical advice, rental and service solutions, and access to locally held equipment – ensuring customers benefit from reliable, responsive, and compliant radiation management support.

Martin Taylor, Director at AMS Global Group commented: “It is a privilege to be partnered with a company of Tracerco’s calibre. This collaboration strengthens our ability to support industry as it transitions through various phases of asset lifecycles. Tracerco has been invaluable in supporting our development as radiation professionals, giving us the confidence and credibility that our customers value.”

As an active OEUK member, Tracerco works closely with industry partners to ensure offshore operators have access to technologies that manage risks on-site in the most effective way, reduce downtime, and protect worker safety.

AMS Global Group currently supports multiple UK and international projects with radiation rental equipment and in-house RPS (Radiation Protection Supervisor) expertise, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for safety, measurement, and lifting solutions in high-hazard environments.

The OEUK Offshore Decommissioning Conference 2025, will be held on 24-26 November in St Andrews, Scotland. Tracerco and AMS will be exhibiting together on stand #35.
